Fairfield’s Earth Day Celebration

Dr. Laura Bozzi, Director of Programs for the Center on Climate Change and Health at the Yale School of Public Health, along with Ruth Canovi, Director of Advocacy in CT for the American Lung Association, and Lisa Deeds, a paramedic with American Medical Response, join us in a discussion of the impacts of climate change on our health , and how they can be addressed.
Coinciding this year with Earth Day, participating shops in downtown Fairfield will be open 10 am to 9 pm, offering patrons an opportunity to browse, shop and truly Love Local with a variety of spring celebratory promotions. The first 100 shoppers to visit the Experience Fairfield tent on Sherman Green after 5 pm will receive a complimentary shopping bag with goodies inside. All COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place, with masks and social distancing required.
Along with the Earth Day Celebration at the Fairfield YMCA (featuring an array of exciting new electric cars) and a full plate of daily Earth Week webinars, the Sustainable Fairfield Task Force (SFTF) will present a free Zoom-based concert at 7 p.m. on Earth Day itself, April 22. Tune in to the SFTF’s YouTube channel to watch the concert LIVE.
