Into the Woods

The Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) has a mission of connecting people to Connecticut’s forests, parks, and Blue-Blazed Hiking Trails to ensure these special places are protected and well-managed for future generations. CFPA is probably best known for creating and maintaining over 825 miles of Blue-Blazed Hiking Trails found in 96 towns with a broad base of volunteers. CFPA is also a statewide land trust with over 2,000 acres of properties that it stewards, an advocate for strong conservation laws in Hartford, and provides education programs and workshops for all ages on various outdoor topics. CFPA is celebrating its 125th anniversary and is the oldest non-profit conservation organization established in Connecticut. , FacebookTwitterInstagram, or email Executive Director Eric Hammerling via
